Ariadne's Garden opens its twenty acres above the Gulf of Corinth to artists who seek soil under their work, and to let the garden, the mountain, and the company of other makers move them forward.
About The Residency
Ο Κήπος της Αριάδνης των Πνευματικών Τεχνών is a 20-acre retreat venue and artist residency in the service of Gaia.
In the Delphic landscape of Galaxidi, we welcome painters, writers, musicians, and performers to share our land surrounded by lush olive groves and cypress trees, and our earth dotted with crystalline quartz and obsidian.
We accept up to 2 artists at any given time, on a rolling basis, who are invited to feel at home with nature’s embrace. By sharing the garden with others, we open possibilities for collaboration and shared inspiration, while nurturing your soul and sparking creativity.
Facilities
Each residency has a footing in a few key spaces around the garden:
Core of Gaia: our 50 m² indoor garden and workshop space, used for group crits, informal showings, or simply working alongside another resident on a quiet afternoon.
Yoga Shala: The 100m² outdoor yoga deck is designed for embodied movement and expression, and ideal for dancers, performers and outdoor workshops.
The Fire Tower and Spiral Path: for the parts of the process that don’t happen at a desk. Many residents use the evening fire circle or a walk of the spiral path as their thinking time, the place where a piece finally clicks into shape.
The library, kitchen, and bedroom: we offer an extensive and inspirational library, a kitchen for cooking together (or not), and simple space to return to at the end of the day.

Residents of Ariadne’s Garden stay in the Gaia Studio Room: a spacious shared dorm with a private bathroom and fireplace. Warm, elegant, and communal, it is an inviting space to recharge.

Residency fees include shared accommodation, access to all facilities at the garden, 2 weekly yoga classes, facilitation and support by Dimitra, and a welcome and farewell dinner.
Residency Dates
We are accepting artists from 15 October to 15 December 2026, and from 15 March to 15 April 2027. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
Expectations
This is a non-prescriptive residency program. It is designed to encourage the creative and personal growth of artists in an ancient and enriched environment.
There’s no assigned curriculum and no obligation to produce a public showing, though residents are welcome to share work informally if and when they choose. Residents are also welcome to offer public workshops with the community during their time here.
