Writers’ Residency

Writers’ Residency

Ariadne's Garden welcomes writers whose work listens to, explores or gives voice to the emerging planetary consciousness — the living vision at the heart of Ariadne’s Garden.

About The Residency

From 15 October–15 December and 15 March–15 May, the Garden becomes a quiet space to retreat, get inspired and let the work unfold.

And when the manuscript is ready, the journey can go further: through Ariadne’s Garden Publications, our in-house publishing house, we can support you -who your work is aligned with the values of the garden-in bringing your book into the world.

We accept up to 2 writers at any given time, on a rolling basis. We are also opening the door to other forms of artistic creation. Artists of all kinds are welcome to get in touch if you feel the Garden might be the place where your next work wants to grow.

Facilities

Each residency has a footing in a few key spaces around the garden:

Core of Gaia: our 50 m² indoor garden and workshop space, used for group crits, informal showings, or simply working alongside another resident on a quiet afternoon.

Yoga Shala: The 100m² outdoor yoga deck is designed for embodied movement and expression, and ideal for dancers, performers and outdoor workshops.

The Fire Tower and Spiral Path: for the parts of the process that don’t happen at a desk. A fire circle and a walking spiral meditation ignites inspiration.

The library, kitchen, and bedroom: we offer an extensive and inspirational library, and a kitchen for cooking together (or not), A simple space to return to at the end of the day.

Accommodation

The Gaia Studio Room is a spacious shared dorm with a bathroom and fireplace. Warm, elegant, and communal.

This is a non-prescriptive residency program. It is designed to encourage the creative and personal growth of writers in an ancient and enriched environment.

There’s no assigned curriculum and no obligation to produce a public showing, though residents are welcome to share work informally if and when they choose. Residents are also welcome to offer public workshops with the community.

Applications

Residencies are arranged directly with Dimitra, curator of Ariadne’s Garden. Fill out our application form below.
